The CEDAW Watch is envisioned to be a network forum of women’s human rights advocates working on a comprehensive range of women’s human rights issues in the Philippines based on the UN Women’s Rights Convention.

Activities in 2006 will be membership building and network consolidation formalizing linkages among CEDAW advocates around the country. It will also provide electronic mentoring support to women NGO and civil society organizations (CSOs) through web and phone interaction to follow-up and complement training workshops and face-to-face interaction. On-line consultations between rural-based CSO advocates around the country will also be a strategy for monitoring feedback on women’s issues and levels of compliance. Face-to-face discussions will be held back-to-back with training workshops and conferences to be convened by all implementing partners for 2006. This will be implemented by South East Asia Watch (SEAWatch) - Miriam College in cooperation with the CEDAW Watch Working Group.
