Media continues to play a critical role in bringing attention to the real situation of women, both their successes and problems. The lack of media coverage of women's concerns is more glaring in the regions. Yet the different NGOs working on women's rights need to continuously develop their skills to work with local and national media.

The Women's Feature Service (WFS) is in a unique position to bridge the gap between NGOs and media in the regions. It is the only news agency for women, by women, and about women in the Philippines, with a network of writers nationwide (NCR, Central and Northern Luzon, Central and Western Visayas and Mindanao). It is in the process of developing the Bicol and Morowomen bureaus.

The MediaLinks project is a continuing endeavor of Women's Feature Service Philippines to disseminate the gains made in the Body & Soul tri-media discussions on women, religion and reproductive health.
